Halloween artwork

Budding Artists - the boys have been very busy at daycare and preschool coloring and doing other crafts for Halloween and the fall. Here are some examples of some of the fun things they have done.

Halloween trial run

Beep Beep - Watch out...here come Mater and Lightening McQueen! The boys and I have had fun making their Halloween costumes. Can't wait until Halloween night when we can really show off the lights.

Bed or Changing Table?

Monkey Climber - Reece, sometime during the night, climbed his changing table and decided to sleep up there. Needless to say it is no longer in his room. (note: Braden in the corner who was getting dressed and snuck in the photo). Scared me as he easily could have rolled over and fallen off.

Silly Reece

Naked boy - Reece....just like Braden at the age of two....likes to unzip his PJ's and take his diaper off. As in other posts (vaseline in Aug), thank goodness I checked on Reece a second time before going to bed. Poor guy was cold but sound asleep with his diaper and PJ's almost off. Once again, Reece made me laugh. If only I could find pj's that zip up the back to prevent this!!

PS....yes, those are Christmas PJ's....hey, it is a hand me down that fits!!! We've since bought more!!

36 weeks

4 Weeks to Go - I haven't taken any photos of just me and was putting Jr #3's baby book together when I realized I needed one. Just thought I'd share.

Boat ride

Picnic on the boat - we took the boat out before Aaron's annual fishing trip and ran around Clinton Lake. It was chilly but we had breakfast out there and enjoyed the time. No fishing but it was still fun and a beautiful fall morning!!

Happy Halloween

Halloween Presents - Thanks to GG and Grampa for these really fun gifts. The boys loved the books, window decals, cookie and 'ghost cans' which we hung in the trees. We are all ready for Halloween now! Been reading the books every night as they are a favorite!!

Pirate Braden

Aargh Matey - Braden loves his pirate t-shirt that he got from his Uncle Robert for his birthday.

Fall has arrived!

Pumpkin Patch - We kicked off October with a trip to the Pumpkin Patch. It was a gorgeous day and we all picked out pumpkins...including a tiny one for 'baby'. Boys played, looked at some animals, took a tractor ride and we finished the morning with a search for the perfect pumpkin. It has become a fun family tradition!!

Shiner

OUCH - Braden got his first black eye after chasing Reece and running into the stairs. Thank goodness we had an Optometrist on hand but he only wanted his mommy! Poor guy...only a bruise and no damage to his eye. Painful though!!

Wild Hair

After nap hairdo - Reece took an awesome nap and woke up with some crazy hair. Just had to take a photo as it was too cute!!! Those slight curls he gets from daddy are realy visible now! I PROMISE I did not touch it or make it worse! :-)

Pirate Party

Ahoy Matey's - Braden turned 4 and we celebrated Pirate style! It was a lot of fun and I think Braden had a great time. He love's Pirates so it was the perfect evening with family.

Looks whose turning 4

Birthday Celebration - Braden and his friend Chase both turned 4 within a week of each other so our two families went to the T-Rex Cafe. It was a lot of fun and we were amazed by all of the fish tanks, moving creatures and atmosphere. The boys had a wonderful time!

To Cry or To Laugh

Vaseline - Every night I go and check on the boys prior to going to bed. Last night it was a good thing I did as Reece had decided to get out of bed and discovered the vaseline jar that is kept with other baby items I have in his changing table. Needless to say I was shocked and instantly called to Aaron saying "you have to see this!" Reece had covered himself in vaseline using almost the entire jar....it was a MESS!

Aaron and I laughed so hard....thanks Reece for keeping us on our toes!

PS....vaseline and water don't mix....try getting that out of a 2 yr olds hair!

Sleepy Boy

Chair or Bed - Reece has been struggling with going to bed....we were letting him cry it out one night and found him asleep in his chair. Too cute though he woke up once we tried to move him....

Happy Birthday Daddy

Another Year Older - that would be Aaron. We celebrated his birthday with a nice family dinner and some cake to top it all off. It was also Braden's first day of preschool so an extra special day for Aaron.

Preschool Adventures

1st Day of School - Braden started preschool on Monday. I don't think I've ever seen him so excited. It was a wonderful day and he can't wait to go back!

Back to School Barbecue

It all begins - Tonight we went to our first 'Back to School Barbecue'. We met Braden's teacher, saw his classroom, registered and ended the evening with a yummy hamburger dinner. It is an exciting time to think that Braden will be starting school on Monday.

St. Louis Vacation

Family Vacation - We took a trip to St. Louis and had a wonderful time. We swam at the hotel swimming pool, went to Grant's Farm, the Zoo and drove around downtown. It was a nice getaway for us all!
