Christmas in Ohio

Ohio Christmas - After our 13 hour drive the fun finally got started.  The boys helped decorated the Christmas Train Tree.  It was a full week with celebrating my birthday, opening presents, eating a delicious Christmas meal, trips to the park, the Market, Akron Zoo and plenty of other outtings with the Uncles and GG and Grampa!

Basketball Season - Aaron and I coached Braden and a team of Kindergartners in basketball this year.  It was really fun to watch them develop throughout the season.  We had many exciting moments and a lot of 'firsts'!!  Hope to do this again next year!!

Spooky Spider

Eeek a Spider - The boys love this spooky spider who likes to 'drop in' to say HI.  The boys were playing with him over and over and over getting 'scared' each time.  Reece got quite the scare on this one instance....

Halloween Goody Box

Box of Goodies - Thanks GG and Grampa for some Halloween goodies.  We love the spider and the candy was yummy!!!  The decoarations are in our rooms and are so fun!!

   

Fall Soccer

Soccer Season - Braden played his first season of soccer and had a lot of fun.  The boys chose the Team name Snakes...Go Boys!

Sunday Boat Ride

Picnic on the Boat - We all went out for a boat ride and a little fishing on a beautiful fall day.  We packed a picnic, did a little fishing and enjoyed being out on Clinton Lake.  It was nice to get the boat out!

 

  

Braden Turns 6

Parties - yes that is plural!  We celebrated on Braden's official day with just the 5 of us.  Opened presents, Skyped with his GG & Grampa, had cake and then went off to play some Putt Putt golf.  It was a WONDERFUL day.  The next day was Braden's big party at Lawrence Gymnastics Center with some classmates and friends.  It was so much fun watching him play with friends and be in the spot light.  The day ended with dinner and more partying with his Grandma, Papa, Uncle Adam his Uncle Brian. 

Field of Sunflowers

Kansas Sunflowers - We missed the peak of the Sunflowers in full bloom but took a drive anyway.  The Sunflower Field was in full bloom with bees buzzing all around.   Still fun to see them and we got a few cute photos of the boys!

Day at the Zoo

Feeding Giraffes - The boys and I spent the morning at the zoo while Aaron went golfing with some buddies.  It was a gorgeous day to get out of the house.  While there we were able to feed the Giraffes.  That was quite the treat!

Daddy's Birthday

#1 Daddy - Happy Birthday Daddy!  Aaron got a Clemson shirt from the boys and a print of Historic Lawrence Kansas from all of us.  The boys and I made him a special baseball birthday cake which we all thoroughly enjoyed!  Another year younger....

 

 

 

 

 

 

School Days

First Day of School - Kindergarten and Preschool here we come!!  The boys were so excited for their first day of school at Corpus Christi.  They both jumped out of bed, got dressed and ate a good breakfast.  We then went to 'preview' day for just kindergarten and preschoolers.  It was a special day!

Charleston Vacation - Part III

The second part of our vacation was a trip down to St. Simon's Island. It was a relaxing time and wonderful to get away!

Charleston, here we come. Our annual trip to visit Uncle Robert. It was so much fun with plenty of activities to keep the boys busy!

Birthday Boy Reece

Pirate Party - Reece had a Jake and the Neverland Pirates Birthday this year.  He was so excited to 'grow into four'  We had three parties....one on the 4th of July with GG and Uncle Brian.  Another on his actual birthday at daycare and the last one at our house with Grandma and Papa Wilmes.  It was a wonderful birthday!

Reece Turns 4 - Our little boy is growing up.  Such a handsome boy.

Water Slide

Dinner with Friends - We went to my friend Lisa's house for dinner and to play on their water slide.  Well, forget dinner, it was all about the water slide.  The boys did a quick time out for a few bites of pizza before going back to the slide.  It was so much fun.  All we heard about on the way home was that we needed one too.  I think we'll just have to visit Lisa and her family more often! 

T-Ball Season 2013

Batter Up - Braden LOVED his 1st season of T-Ball.  He enjoyed making new friends, playing with his buddy Chase and best off, being coached by his daddy.  It was impressive to see his improvement from the 1st practice to the last game.  He (and Daddy) had a lot of fun!

Happy Birthday America

4th of July Celebration - It was a family day on the 4th of July.  We celebrated Reece's birthday with Uncle Brian and GG and then went swimming in the pool.  The night ended with a wonderful fireworks display.  The boys enjoyed it but were ready for bed by the end of the night!

Daddy's Day

Happy Father's Day - We had a nice day with Aaron on Father's Day.  Braden made him a photo board and added some special photos. We all enjoyed the day!

Blastball

Reece plays Blastball - What a wonderful activity through parks and rec.  Reece played blastball this summer and thoroughly enjoyed it.  He played catch and hit the ball.  After hitting, the kids run to first base where the base 'honks' as they jump on it.  He had a lot of fun and got a medal at the end of the season.  Way to Go Reece!

Strawberry Picking

Yummy Strawberries - We took the boys to a local Strawberry Patch.  It was so much fun.  Zach ate any that he picked but the other two did some taste testing of their own.  They were so good.  That afternoon we also made a Strawberry pie which was delicious!!

Parish Picnic

Rooaarr - The boys enjoyed the parish picnic where they jumped with friends in jumpy houses and slides.  They also got their faces painted like Tigers and did some great 'roaring'!

Games - Braden had his 1st game and enjoyed playing with all of his new friends. 

Summer Vacation Part I

Fun with GG and Grampa - The boys and I went out early to spend some time with GG and Grampa.  The fun started with graduation for my cousin John followed by time at the 'Christmas House' in Ohio.  We went non-stop and one day Braden asked to just stay home and relax.  I couldn't believe my ears.  Sluggers and Putters, Baseball Game, Park, Picnic, Zoo, Kick-Ball, Fish Fry....it was all FUN!

Preschool Graduation

Kindergarten is next - Braden graduated from Preschool.  He's so excited to now be ready for Kindergarten.  I hope that this excitement for school continues!!!  We have been blessed to have such wonderful teachers...Mrs Fowler and Mrs Robinson.

 

T-Ball

Baseball Boy - Braden started T-Ball this year and Aaron is coaching.  He's so excited and loving it.  I think Aaron is just as excited.  He stocked up on all the gear and we are set!  This was at his first practice.  Such a cutie!

Swimming Lessons

Little Fish - The boys took some basic swimming lessons.  They loved it and the instructor said they were both just like little fish.  No fear here which is why we did them.  They learned a few strokes but most importantly how to float.  It was a fun time!
