Back to School Barbecue

It all begins - Tonight we went to our first 'Back to School Barbecue'. We met Braden's teacher, saw his classroom, registered and ended the evening with a yummy hamburger dinner. It is an exciting time to think that Braden will be starting school on Monday.

St. Louis Vacation

Family Vacation - We took a trip to St. Louis and had a wonderful time. We swam at the hotel swimming pool, went to Grant's Farm, the Zoo and drove around downtown. It was a nice getaway for us all!

School Supplies

Preschool...here comes Braden - We had a special night out and took just Braden shopping for his school supplies. It was a fun evening...I can't believe our little guy is almost ready for school!

Fishing with Grampa Gens

It's a Keeper - Braden caught his first fish Friday with Grampa, GG and Uncle Brian. I'm so impressed that he's holding the fish like any fisherman would do...by the mouth. Way to go Braden!!
Fish # 2 - Fishing on daddy's boat, Braden caught a walleye. He reeled it in and fought the fish hard but landed it in the boat. The guys caught a lot more fish but let them go. Next time they'll be even bigger!

Fishing Adventures

Fun at Clinton Lake - The boys, GG, Grampa and Uncle Braden all went fishing. They had a successful day and Braden caught a big one! Both boys had fun playing with rocks, minnows and other things.

Reece turns TWO

Party Time - Reece turned TWO today and we had a lot of fun. He LOVES Mickey Mouse so that was the theme for the Party. I can't believe our little boy is already two!

Big Boy Bed

Bedtime - Reece is getting so big and is now sleeping in his big boy bed. His first night (and ever since) has been great. He LOVES his bed and sleeps really good.

Summer Buzz

Braden's buzz cut - It's that time of year for a nice cool cut. I love Braden's short hair so I can see his cute little face! Reece helped by running the dust buster around. It was a team effort for hair cuts!

Swimming Lessons

Water boys - Braden and Reece had their first swimming lessons today. It was a lot of fun and the boys just love the water. We are doing this because both have no fear when it comes to the water which makes me nervous. We'll continue these and hopefully have two good little swimmers one day.

Just to see you smile - GG sent and e-greeting to the boys....they thoroughly enjoyed it and it made them smile!

Kiddie Pool

Fish Pool - remember the days of the kiddie pool? After working hard in the yard one afternoon, we cooled off in our kiddie pool. It was perfect and the boys had so much fun!

Day on the Lake

Fishing Boat - we took the boys out on the boat one morning. It was a lot of fun. Braden enjoyed fishing with his bobber and Reece, well he tried really hard to go overboard!

Silly Evening - We were having fun one evening being silly.


















Reece loves to tell us all to "sssshhh...be quiet" when we try to sing. I guess he is the only one who can sing in this house!





Braden loves to say silly things like:
1. "aaagghh Chicken Noodles"
2. "aaagghh Coconuts"
3. "aaagghh Chicken Feathers"
4. "What's the big idea?"
and many more things....it changes weekly but he is one silly boy!

Little Helper

Tool Man Braden - I went down to check on Braden and Aaron who were working on a project together only to find Braden all decked out in his Tool Man gear. I just had to grab the camera. He even had his bulldozer....here I thought the project was "simple". Daddy is training him right...always wear your safety glasses.

Happy Mother's Day

Royal Treatment - Aaron and the boys gave me a wonderful Mother's Day. Lots of relaxing and we enjoyed a great meal prepared by Aaron. We invited the rest of Aaron's family over and he treated us to an Italian buffet. It was yummy and he can cook more often in my opinion!!!

Braden snuck off later only to have his Auntie Angela find him eating a "sandwich" ....aka the rest of the garlic bread. It made me laugh so hard....he has a bread and butter weakness like his mom and GG!!

Baby to Be

Announcement - We are excited to share that we're expecting another baby on November 11, 2011.

Fishing for Crappie

Fisherman - We took the boys fishing for crappie off of the docks and shore at Clinton Lake. It was a great day but no fish were caught...maybe next time.

Easter

Easter bunny - The boys found a trail of eggs and then discovered some fun Easter baskets. We then opened goodies from GG and Grampa followed by Easter lunch with the rest of the Wilmes family and more egg hunting. It was a nice weekend and holiday.

Vacation on the Island

Family getaway - This past April, we went to see Uncle Robert, Grampa and GG down in South Carolina. We had a great time and did so much. I think Aaron wonders if it was a vacation (smile). We went to Folley Beach, took a carriage ride of downtown Charleston, saw a Riverdogs baseball game, Braden and the guys went crab'n and ate some of the best seafood including blackfin tuna that Uncle Robert caught.

We can't wait to go back again!!

Farmstead

Nice spring day - Out and about with Uncle Brian and the boys. We had a nice Saturday at Deanna Rose Farmstead. Enjoyed the beautiful weather and time together while Aaron was golfing with buddies.
