Braden's 3rd Birthday Party

Happy Birthday Braden - I can't believe Braden is 3 years old. Boy how time flies. He requested a Thomas the Train birthday cake so that was what I made him. It was a lot of work but worth every minute just seeing his reaction.

We all had a great time....especially Braden who received his first bike, and plenty of other fun gifts.

Uncle Brian's visit

Hanging Out - Uncle Brian came into town for Braden's birthday. It was a great opportunity to take a photo of the boys. It turned out great!

Kansas Sunflowers

A field of Sunflowers - Saturday we took the boys to see some sunflowers just north of Lawrence. It was spectacular and something we'd love to do again.

One, Two, Three steps...

Look Who's Walking - Reece is on the move. He took his first steps for Aaron on Aug 21st and then again for his mommy after she came running over to see with the camera! As Aaron stated, it was the best birthday present ever.

He hasn't taken off yet as crawling is much faster.....it won't be long though!

Go long.....

Hut...Hut...Hike - Reece loves the football. Lately, the boys have been playing catch....Daddy hands off to Reece who "throws" to Braden who then passes it back off to daddy. It is so fun to watch them play together. I think we have a future football star on our hands!

Braden the baker

Yummy cupcakes - Braden and Aaron made cupcakes one day. As you can tell, Braden was quite proud of what they did. He even helped to decorate them.

Cousins at play

Playdate - Braden's cousin Hunter came over for the day while his parents moved in to their new house. The boys had a great time coloring with crayons and paint. We then ran around in the yard and driveway before we decided it was time to cool off in the pool. All three boys crashed for a wonderful nap. It was a great day!

Yeee Haww!

Birthday Greeting - Reece received a birthday card from his Uncle Brian that plays music. He quickly figured out how to play the song over and over again by opening and closing the card. As you can see in the videos, Reece loves to boogy to this catchy hamster dance.

I promise I'm not joking when I say it entertained him for at least 30min. It was hysterical just watching him open and close the card so he could dance.

Look whose 1 - Reece turned one on Saturday. I can't believe my little Reece is already a year old! We had such a good time with family and friends!

Say Cheese - Reece will soon be 1 year old so we had some professional photos taken. They turned out really cute. Of course, we picked out our favorites to have prints made but wanted to share some of the "out takes". He was loving the camera.

A little trim - Just a little trim off of the back of Reece's neck. It was a little too long for a little boy. Plus, we had his one year photos just around the corner. Reece was not crazy about the haircut but we all survived.

Come out and Play!

Play Date - We met up with some friends to burn off some energy and to have fun. GG, Braden, Reece and myself met up with friends Lisa and Aubrey. I think we'll be heading back as it was perfect for Reece (the crawler) and Braden (the climber, runner, jumper, etc...)! It was a wonderful morning!

Moving Day

Our new house - On June 21st, we moved just down the road from our old house. We're getting settled in and are already making memories at our new place!

Thomas the Train - we took the boys to Baldwin City, KS to see Thomas the Train. It was such a great day! We wore them out and everyone...including us moms all crashed!

Memorial Day 2010

Fun in the Sun - We had a wonderful time in Ohio with my family over the weekend. Plenty of fish were caught, we hit the beach to play in the sand, did some swimming, relaxed and celebrated my mom and dad's 40th Wedding Anniversary. It was a special time together!

Delicious

Delicious - We love to eat in these fancy sundae dishes but instead of ice-cream used them for strawberry shortcake. Braden enjoyed it so much he told me it was DELICIOUS! That was a first. I guess I get a "pat on the back" for that one! Never the less, we've already had strawberry shortcake several times with a "delicious" each time.

Clinton Lake

Boat Ride - We took the boat out for a ride one weekend when Brian was in town. The kids loved the fresh air and it was nice to get out for a bit. It is great having Clinton Lake just a few miles away!

Graduation from Tumbling

"Ta Da" - Braden graduated from Tumbling class and did an awesome job. He loved throwing balls around the most but also enjoyed the big trampoline that they had along with the balance beam and other fun things to crawl over. The best part was being able to run around with his buddy Chase. They both did great!

Rock Star

Jam Session - Reece loves to play with Braden's toys. He discovered this guitar and was caught singing and playing. Do we have a future musician on our hands???
